Festive Snowman – Simon Says Stamp – DieCember® 2024 – Home

Hello crafty friends,

DieCember® is finally here. DieCember® is a month long event hosted by Simon Says Stamp which features some fun and exclusive wafer dies along with many fun crafty supplies. Don’t miss the some fun surprises, sales and tons of inspirations by some amazingly talented designers during this month long die cutting celebration.

Let us now take a look at the project I created today –

I started by die cutting this cute and adorable little Festive Snowman. I used the SSS Pawsitively Snow White Velvet Cardstock for the body of the snowman. I die cut the body of the snowman with a heavy weight cardstock to make him a little sturdy, since the velvet cardstock is not as thick as your normal heavy weight cardstock.

I used some green velvet cardstock by Your Paper Insider, for the bow scarf and the little hat band.

I then digged into my cardstock scraps to find pieces of cardstock to cut the other parts of our snowman.

Since the snowman is the many focal point of our card project today, I decided to keep the background really simple and adhere this onto a light blue card panel. I stamped some snowflakes onto this panel using the SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the shade Morning.

I then stamped the “Sending Cozy Hugs” sentiment from the CZ Designs Warmest Wishes stamp set using the Twilight, which I thought matched perfectly with our color scheme. I cut the sentiment using the Featured Sentiment Die by Altenew.

It’s now time to assemble our card. I adhered both snowman focal point and the sentiment strip using foam tape and then adhered this panel directly onto an A2 size, side folding cardbase.

To add some shine and sparkle to our little winter scene, I used the Prism Pawsitively Dazzling Gems.

I love how this card turned out. The little festive snowman is perfect for winter and holiday theme projects and would look amazing on little gift tags too.
