Hello crafty friends,

I am here with something so much fun and different. Kat scrappiness has recently launched a new bunch of products – it’s the cute and adorable Cowboy Quokka Release.

This line of release features some really adorable cowboy quokka themed stamps and coordinating dies, stencils, paper pads and embellishments. We also have fun little Die Cut Ephemera pieces which makes it so much more easier and quicker to make beautiful card projects. For those who don’t know what Die Cut Ephemera is, these are more like stamped, colored and die cut stickers (without a sticky backing), that you can add directly on your projects, to create beautiful focal point.

Let’s take a look at the cards that I created using supplies from this latest release –

Card #1

How adorable is this country boy! I started with this gorgeous background. It almost looks like a textured paper. I cut an A2 size panel of this patterned paper from the Cowboy Quokka Paper Pad. To bring in more of that textured look, I used the Snow Effect 3D Gel Paste on the very delicate Bandana Background Stencil.

I let this panel dry for a couple of hours. I love how versatile the Gel Paste is. It is not only great to create snowy effects for your winter theme projects but also wonderful to created texture and dimension with your stencils.

Once my gel paste was dry, I used one of the Cowboy Die Cut Ephemera as the main focal point of my card. I also created 2 little sentiment strips using the Cowboy Quokka Sentiment Stamp using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

Card #2

Now this card was for my husband for his birthday. Isn’t it super cute!

I wanted to create a beautiful scenery for my card background. I have a beautiful yellow sky and a green hill top, both of which are patterned papers from the Cowboy Quokka Paper Pad. I used the Stitched Hills Border Die to cut out my hill.

For the focal point on our card, I stamped and die cut the cowboy on his horse, along with some of those greenery pieces. Using my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers, I colored these stamped images.

I stamped the “Yee-Haw!” sentiment onto a white strip of cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black Ink.
