Valentine’s Day With Your Dearest

Hello crafty friends,

Today I have a very fun project for you, with a cute quokka hugging you with all his heart ❤️

Here’s a closer look at the card –

I started by stamping and coloring this cute and adorable little quokka from the Quokka Love Stamp Set by Kat Scrappiness. I stamped the image in Memento Black Ink since I wanted to color this image using my alcohol markers. I used the Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers to color our quokka.

I used the coordinating die to cut out the image. Note the little hearts that come out seperate. These can either be popped up using some foam tape, or like I did here, adhere them using liquid glue.

For my background, I wanted my quokka set on a center stage. For that I used the Center Stage Craft Die by KS and paired it with the Quokka Love Paper Pad, for the curtains and the stage backdrop.

For my stage, I used a white piece of card stock. The die created etched details on the cardstock panel. I used brown marker to add dimensional look on the etched lines. Then using the SSS Pawsitively Saturated in the shades Mocha and Cappuccino, I ink blended onto this panel.

For my sentiment, I chose the “Hugging you with all my heart” sentiment from the same stamp set and used coordinating die to cut it out.

Now that our background, focal point and sentiment strip is ready, we will assemble the card. I used liquid glue to adhere all of the little pieces, while for my focal point quokka, I used foam tape to pop him up with his little heart.

One final touch would be adding sparkle to this card. I used my spectrum noir Glitter Brush Pen to add shine on the hearts.

I love how cute and adorable this card turned out.
