Hello crafty friends,

Today, I’m diving into some underwater fun with a vibrant birthday card featuring the Get Whale Soon Stamp Set from the latest Rain or Shine Release by Simon Says Stamp! 🌊🐋 I had such a blast coloring the adorable images with alcohol markers, and to make everything come together perfectly. This underwater scene turned out just as fun as I had hoped, making it the perfect card for a birthday celebration that’s sure to make a splash!

For this birthday card, I started by stamping and coloring the cute and adorable images from the Get Whale Soon Stamp Set. I used alcohol markers to bring these underwater creatures to life, making sure each detail popped. Once I was happy with the coloring, I used my Brother Scan n Cut to die-cut the images with precision—this tool always makes the process so easy and accurate!

For the background, I wanted to create a soft and calming ocean vibe, so I used Altenew Watercolor Brush Pens to blend beautiful shades of blue. To add a little extra sparkle and shine, I misted the background with silver shimmer spray, giving it a lovely, subtle glimmer that mimics the shimmer of water.

Before adhering my colored images, I stamped little bubbles throughout the underwater scene using SSS Pawsitively Saturated Ink in the shade Cadette. These tiny bubbles added some fun and extra dimension to the background. To give the card more depth, I attached the images with foam tape, which added a nice pop of dimension to the final design.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed the “Happy Birthday” greeting from the same Get Whale Soon Stamp Set onto a strip of black cardstock using white embossing powder. The white sentiment stands out beautifully against the vibrant blue background, giving it the perfect contrast.

I’m absolutely thrilled with how this card turned out! The underwater theme, combined with the shimmer and dimension, makes it the perfect fun and vibrant birthday card.
