Hello crafty friends,
Today, I’m sharing a clean and simple card design that’s all about elegant layering and subtle texture. The star of this project is a delicate, layered die cut focal point that brings dimension and interest to the layout. To complement it, I added a sleek letterpress sentiment strip . For a bit of texture and depth, I used an embossing folder on the card front—just the right detail to elevate the overall design without overpowering its simplicity.

To begin this card, I used the beautiful heart-shaped layering die from the Kaleidoscope Noble Suits Etched Die Set. I chose shades of red and pink for the layers to keep everything within the same color family, giving the focal point an elegant and cohesive look.

Each die cut was carefully stacked using liquid glue to create depth and interest. For the background, I wanted to bring in a bit of texture, so I reached for a fun 3D embossing folder. To add a soft touch of color without overwhelming the design, I lightly brushed the lower portion of the panel with the leftover ink on my blending brush—no need to reload it with fresh ink. This subtle detail added just the right hint of warmth.
Once the background was prepped, I adhered my layered heart die cut directly over the inked area. For the sentiment, I used a letterpress strip that beautifully tied everything together and complemented the focal point.

To complete the card, I added a few pink gems for that perfect finishing touch—a little sparkle to bring the whole design to life.
