Did you know that May is recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month?
Yes — an entire month dedicated to highlighting and honoring mental well-being. And rightfully so! Just like physical health, mental health is a vital part of our overall wellness. It can affect anyone — regardless of age, background, or life circumstances — and it deserves the same care, attention, and compassion as any visible ailment.

In a world that often glorifies being busy and “pushing through,” it’s easy to overlook the signs when our minds and hearts need rest. But the truth is, even the smallest struggles with mental health matter. They’re valid. They’re real. And they deserve to be acknowledged.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can offer — or receive — is simply someone’s presence, a heart full of love, and a gentle reminder that things will be okay.

Creating With Intention

Today, I’m incredibly excited and honored to be part of an Instagram Hop alongside some wonderfully talented crafty friends. Each of us is sharing not just a card or project, but also a message — one rooted in compassion, empathy, and awareness.

For my card, I used the beautiful Magnificent Magnolias embossing folder and stamp set. I chose to emboss only the empty vases — a visual representation of what my mental health can sometimes feel like: a little empty, a little drained.

It’s in those times that the smallest gestures — a hug, a kind word, or simply someone sitting beside me — have meant the most.

Art and creativity have a way of expressing what words often can’t. This hop isn’t just about showcasing pretty things (though I promise you’ll see plenty of that!); it’s about connection, healing, and showing up for each other in the most human way.

You Are Not Alone

If you’re reading this and going through a tough time, please know that you’re not alone. Whether you’re feeling a little off or carrying something heavier, your feelings are valid.

Be gentle with yourself. Reach out if you need to. And always remember — you matter.

Let’s use this month not only to raise awareness but to actively support one another, break the stigma, and lead with compassion.

For my card, I chose to use the stunning new Magnificent Magnolias embossing folder along with the coordinating stencil by Altenew to create a beautifully textured card front. The design, while delicate and vibrant on the surface, actually reflects something much deeper — a part of myself.

There are times when I may appear cheerful and upbeat on the outside, but inside, I feel completely empty. This contrast between appearance and reality is something many of us silently carry. Through this card, I wanted to honor that duality — the beauty we show to the world, and the quiet struggles we may face within.

I finished the card with a bold, heartfelt sentiment from the same stamp set: “Lots of Love”, along with a smaller, comforting sub-sentiment: “It’s going to be OK.”

Because honestly, some days, that’s exactly what I need — just a little love, a warm presence, and someone to gently say, “It’s going to be okay.” The days may feel heavy, but life doesn’t have to be.

So here’s to both sides of the journey — to the ones carrying the weight and trying their best to stay afloat, and to the ones offering love, warmth, and a safe space to heal.

It’s going to be fine.
With patience and perseverance, we move forward — together.

And if you’re up for it, come check out the Instagram Hop — maybe you’ll find a card, a color, or a message that speaks to your heart.
