Hello, crafty friends! Today on the blog, I’m sharing a handmade birthday card that’s bursting with color and sunshine — the perfect project to capture the joy of summer!

For this design, I used the Butterfly Flowerpot Bundle digital stamp to create a lively garden scene, complete with bold, bright blooms and the sweetest little butterfly. The image was brought to life using my Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers, which gave me beautiful, seamless blends and vibrant hues. To add that extra magical touch, I used a glitter brush pen to highlight some details, giving the entire card a subtle sparkle that catches the light just right.

The birthday sentiment — “Sending Birthday Wishes” — is from the Alcea Hollyhock Flowers digi stamp set. This set is a favorite of mine because it not only includes elegant florals but also a variety of sentiments and coordinating printable papers that help pull the whole card design together effortlessly.

To frame the stamped panel, I chose a bright yellow patterned paper from the Spring to Easter Printable Paper collection. This sunny background really makes the design pop and reinforces that warm, cheerful summer feel.
Whether you’re sending handmade hugs to a friend or building your stash of birthday cards, this card design is simple to recreate and endlessly joyful.
I hope this card brings a little brightness to your day and inspires your next crafty session!
