Hello, crafty friends!
Today, I’m excited to share a peaceful and clean card design that captures a scenic landscape using some fun new products from the “Friend Like You” release by Simon Says Stamp. If you love creating serene nature scenes with minimal fuss and maximum impact, this card is for you!

For this project, I used the brand-new Mountainscape Stencil — a fantastic tool that makes landscape building effortless. I began by placing an A2-sized piece of white cardstock onto my Glassboard Studio glass mat, securing both the panel and the stencil with magnets to ensure a firm, smudge-free hold.

Using shades of green from the Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Ink collection — Pine, Lucky and Spring — I built up the mountain layers. The stencil set conveniently includes masking pieces for each layer, making it easy to blend one area without affecting another.

For the sun, I opted for a vibrant gradient blend of Citrine and Sherbet inks, bringing warmth and life to the background. To elevate the scene with a subtle touch of sparkle, I outlined each mountain layer using a gold glitter gel pen from Violet Studio — a simple detail that adds so much charm.

Once the ink blending was complete, I trimmed the panel down to 3.75 x 5 inches to give it a nice margin when mounted on the card base.

Next, I brought in two gold heat-embossed sentiments from the Modern Scrapbook Stamp Set, which was included in the Simon Says Stamp June 2025 Card Kit. These bold, modern phrases added just the right amount of interest and contrast to the softly inked background.

To complete the look, I sprinkled on a few gold hologram sequins from This Calls for Confetti. I adhered both the sentiments and sequins using the Pawsitively Perfect Craft Glue by SSS — a new favorite in my craft room for its strong hold and easy precision.

Finally, I mounted the finished panel onto a top-folding A2 card base using foam tape for dimension.

This card came together beautifully with the help of some well-designed tools and a simple idea. The combination of layered stenciling, heat embossing, and sparkling accents makes it elegant yet easy to recreate.
