If you love adding luxurious touches to your handmade cards, today’s project is right up your alley! I’m featuring a bright and colorful floral card that combines rich hues, delicate textures, and shiny metallics to make your design pop. The star of the show? The Yezenshi paper from Box #12 by Your Paper Insider—a deep green, subtly textured cardstock with a luminous sheen that elevates any papercraft project.

Whether you’re looking for elegant floral card inspiration, or simply want to explore how to incorporate specialty papers into your cardmaking, this post has got you covered!

To set the tone for this vibrant design, I selected the Yezenshi paper in a deep green tone. This specialty cardstock has a luxurious metallic sheen and soft texture that immediately catches the eye. It served as a perfect accent layer that grounded the entire layout while adding dimension and richness.

I created a layered floral arrangement using Simon Says Stamp floral die cuts, opting for soft pastels and bold brights to contrast beautifully against the green base. The mix of metallic gold petals added a touch of elegance while enhancing the card’s overall shine factor.

To anchor the floral elements and prevent the design from becoming too busy, I die-cut the Petal Tipped Label Die as a base for the bouquet. This shape provided a clean, polished frame and added balance to the composition.

I chose a timeless message from the KS Simple Sentiments (Valentine’s Edition) stamp set. It’s simple yet meaningful, making this card suitable for more than just Valentine’s Day—it’s perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just to say “I’m thinking of you.” A few dew drop embellishments added the final bit of sparkle, creating the illusion of morning dew.

This card was such a joy to create—the metallic shine, the layered florals, and that rich green textured Yezenshi paper from Your Paper Insider Box #12 truly made this piece come alive. Specialty papers like these can take your cardmaking from basic to breathtaking with just a few thoughtful additions.

If you’re looking for fresh ways to incorporate luxury cardstock, try combining metallics, textures, and layered die cuts like this. It’s a great technique for elevated card designs all year round.
