Sentiment-Only Background + Bold Florals | SSS Happy Camper Release – Home

Hello crafty friends! Today, I’m sharing a vibrant and layered card design that’s all about sentiment stamping—featuring the new CZ Design You 2 stamp set from the latest Happy Camper Release by Simon Says Stamp. This versatile little set sparked a creative idea: why not build a full background using just sentiments? Paired with some bright florals and leafy details, this card came together beautifully!

I started by stamping four different “you” sentiments from the You 2 stamp set onto a white cardstock panel (4 x 5¼”), using a rainbow palette of inks. To help with precise alignment, I used a grid transparency sheet and my Altenew Stampwheel. Once I was happy with the layout, I paired each bold “you” with coordinating sub-sentiments, stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black for a crisp contrast.

To fill in the spaces between the sentiments, I brought in some florals using the Buttercup Die. I die-cut the flowers from white cardstock and ink blended them using the remaining shades from my rainbow palette. For the leaves, I used the Leafy Sprigs die and blended three shades of green: Pine, Perfection, and Lime Licious. These elements added beautiful texture and movement across the card.

After assembling the flowers with foam squares and tucking in the leaves, I mounted the panel onto a kraft cardstock base for a warm, grounding finish. For a bit of sparkle, I added shimmer with my Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush Pen and some white gel pen highlights.

I absolutely love how this card turned out—colorful, expressive, and filled with layered details! Sentiment sets like You 2 are perfect for making the message the focal point.
