Hello crafty friends! ✨ I’m absolutely thrilled to be sharing the brand-new Letters by Shells collection, designed by Shelly Kim in collaboration with Sizzix. This release is bursting with playful energy and creativity—featuring abstract doodles, versatile alphabet sets, and cheerful phrases that are perfect for everything from greeting cards to gift tags (and so much more!).

I couldn’t wait to dive into these products, and today I’m showcasing three unique cards I created to highlight just how fun and inspiring this collection truly is. Get ready for a dose of color, creativity, and crafty joy!

For my first project, I put together a framed floral scene. The flowers come from the Happy Floral die set, while the frame is from the Fun Borders set. I die cut all of the elements using Sizzix cardstock, which worked beautifully for these pieces. For the sentiment, I added a “Get Well Soon” from the Common Greetings die set.

Card #2

For my second card, I wanted to create a playful design featuring the adorable little mushrooms from the Happy Floral die set. I paired them with another thin frame from the Fun Borders set to bring everything together. For the sentiment, I die cut the words “Thank You” in both black and white cardstock, layering them to create a subtle shadow effect. This sentiment is also from the Common Greetings set.

Card #3

For my third and final card, I decided to take a fun twist and create a Halloween-themed floral card—something I’ve never tried before! For the background, I used the new Checkered Pattern 2D Mini Embossing Folder and added vibrant splashes of color with Distress Spritz Sprays.

For the focal point, I featured two floral designs from the Happy Floral set, giving them a playful Halloween vibe. The sentiment reads “Happy Boo Day.” To build this, I got creative with my dies: the words “happy” and “day” are from the Common Greetings set (originally a “happy birthday” sentiment, trimmed down to fit), while the word “boo” comes from the Simple Letters alphabet dies.

I absolutely love the shimmer, shine, and unique design of this card—it was such a fun and refreshing way to play with florals in a Halloween theme!
