There’s something so comforting about receiving a handmade card when you’re feeling under the weather. For this week’s Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #630, the theme is Under the Weather / Get Well, and I couldn’t resist creating a clean and simple floral card that radiates warmth and healing vibes.

I started with a delicate floral arrangement using the Simon Says Stamp Elegant Blossoms Branch Die Set. The die-cut flowers were crafted from white cardstock and softly inked with shades of pink for a gentle, feminine touch. For the stems and leaves, I used earthy browns and soothing greens, bringing the entire bouquet to life. To add a cheerful pop of color, I inked the flower centers with a bright orange tone.

For all my ink blending, I used Simon Says Stamp Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Mandarine, Pine, Fields, Pearfection, Mocha, and Carnation — such a beautiful palette for a warm, natural look.

Next, I added a heartfelt sentiment. I chose a tiny “get well soon” from the Flourishing Garden Stamp Set by Altenew, which I stamped and gold heat embossed on a strip of black cardstock. The touch of gold adds just the right amount of elegance and shine.

To frame the floral focal point, I used the Petal Tipped Die Set by Simon Says Stamp to create a soft window frame on white cardstock. I mounted this panel onto a green card base, layering my bouquet and sentiment over it for a balanced and refined composition.

For the finishing touch, I added a few clear drops by Kat Scrappiness — subtle yet perfect for adding that gentle shimmer.

This card came together beautifully, combining a simple layout with a heartfelt message. The fresh florals and soft colors make it an ideal way to send a bit of handmade sunshine to someone in need of comfort.

I hope this project inspires you to create your own get well soon cards — sometimes, a simple floral bouquet on paper can do wonders for the soul. 🌿💛
