Every once in a while, a crafting product comes along that completely takes your breath away — and for me, that was the Aurora Origami Paper from Box #13. The moment I opened the box, I was captivated by its incredible shine and luminous texture. I had never worked with anything quite so beautiful and unique before! Instantly, I knew this paper was meant for something delicate and elegant — perhaps a bouquet of flowers or a flutter of butterflies.
After a little thought (and a lot of admiration for that gorgeous paper), I decided to create a floral bouquet. I used the Whimsy Bloom Die Set by Sizzix to die-cut the Aurora Origami Paper, allowing its radiant finish to bring each petal to life.

For the stems, I turned to one of my favorite vibrant shades — Key Lime Colormates Cardstock from Box #13 — which complemented the shimmer of the flowers beautifully. To set the stage for my bouquet, I chose ultra white smooth cardstock for the background and added texture using the Bundled Swag 3D Embossing Folder by Simon Says Stamp. This embossing detail added just the right amount of dimension and magic to the background.
To enhance the texture even more, I added a few black and pink splatters, giving the card a touch of playful energy without distracting from the elegant design.

Once the background was ready, I carefully mounted my floral arrangement in the center. To complete the card, I added a simple birthday sentiment strip using the BetterPress system from Spellbinders — the perfect understated finish to let those shimmering florals take the spotlight. 🌸
This card came together as a beautiful blend of shimmer, texture, and simplicity. The Aurora Origami Paper truly steals the show, bringing an ethereal quality to the design that makes it perfect for a special celebration.
It’s amazing how a few thoughtful elements — a touch of embossing, a hint of splatter, and a bit of shine — can transform a simple idea into something truly elegant. ✨
