Today’s project is extra close to my heart. A few of us crafty friends and teammates came together to celebrate our dearest Kat’s birthday, and I knew I had to create something special just for her. Kat has always held a meaningful place in my creative journey, so sharing a card made entirely with her beautiful supplies felt like the perfect way to honor her day.

This card is special for another reason too—it reflects a design style that helped shape who I am as a cardmaker. Last year, I created a similar layout that ended up becoming one of my most-viewed projects, and it was then that I realized just how much I love clean and simple designs. There’s something magical about letting a big, colorful sentiment shine as the focal point while pairing it with a simple black-and-white image. That balance of bold and minimal feels so me, and I’m grateful that this style found its way into my creative voice.
So of course, I had to bring this look back for Kat—a person who has encouraged me, supported me, and cheered me on during these past few years more than she knows.

For this card, I used the Happy Birthday Die Set, turning it into the bright, bold centerpiece using my favorite color combination. And those adorable little quokkas at the bottom? They’re from the Birthday Quokkas Stamp Set—both sets by KS. They added the perfect touch of cuteness to complete the design.
I hope this card brings a smile to Kat’s face, just as her support has brought countless smiles to mine.

Than you again for joining me today. Until next time, stay safe.
