Today’s card is all about giving leftover die cuts a second life. I used gold glitter word die cuts saved from a previous project to create a bold Merry sentiment that also serves as the focal point of this clean and simple slimline Christmas card.

Instead of puzzling the letters back into an A2 panel, I chose a slimline design so the sentiment could really shine. The card base measures 8½” x 7″, scored at 3½”, and is made from soft baby pink cardstock. I layered a slightly smaller white panel on top, allowing a subtle pink border to peek through.
To add dimension without foam tape, I stacked extra die-cut letters cut from white cardstock underneath each glitter letter. This creates a beautiful, polished lift while using up die-cut scraps.
Before adhering the letters, I stamped the sub-sentiment Christmas using a scripty font from the Peaceful Trees stamp set. I masked off the word merry and stamped only Christmas with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Once everything was arranged, I slightly staggered the letters to add movement and interest. I adhered the finished panel to the card base with foam tape and added a touch of sparkle using the Sparkling Poinsettia Sprinkle Mix by KS—placing one tiny poinsettia on each letter.
This project is a great reminder that even leftover die cuts can be turned into elegant, festive holiday cards. I hope this inspires you to dig into your scrap stash and create something special!
