Interactive cards can feel intimidating, but with the right tools and a few simple steps, they can be fun, playful, and absolutely beautiful. In this tutorial, we’ll be using the Magical Heart Shaker Die from KS’s Love Is in the Air release to create a sparkling heart-shaped shaker card. With a soft pink ombré background, a cute mouse window, and moving sequins, this card is perfect for adding love and sparkle to any occasion.

I started by die-cutting the heart window from an A2 white panel, leaving space for my sentiment, and used the outline heart and mouse face for the card design. I cut a slightly larger acetate piece and adhered it with double-sided tape to create the shaker window, then stamped my sentiment from the Queenie the Quokka set using Versafine Onyx Black ink.

For the background, I blended pink and reddish-pink inks on a 4 x 5¼ panel and added a mist of shimmer spray for sparkle. Using foam tape, I created the shaker pocket, added KS’s Glamour Girl confetti, and brushed anti-static powder along the edges so the sequins move freely. I swapped in a black mouse face for contrast, coordinated with the black sentiment and confetti, and adhered the shaker panel to a pink top-fold card base to finish the design.
