Starting the Year with Flowers and Gratitude

Flowers are always perfect for any occasion, and what better way to welcome a fresh new year than with a sweet thank-you note paired with a beautiful floral bouquet? For this project, I created a clean and simple thank-you card featuring the gorgeous floral cluster from the Alcea Hollyhock Flowers digi stamp.

I chose soft oranges for the blooms and gentle green shadows for the leaves, giving the design a warm, elegant feel. The detailed background patterned paper is also part of the same digi set. I printed it on watercolor paper and layered my floral image right over top. Using the pre-colored version as inspiration, I pulled out my watercolors and added those soft, vibrant tones to bring the focal point to life.

The “Thank You” sentiment comes from the Winnie Daisy Messages digi stamp set, which includes so many thoughtful messages in beautifully styled fonts. To finish the card, I added a sprinkling of sequins on each side of the sentiment and tiny gold accents at the center of each flower.

A simple design, a touch of color, and a heartfelt message—just the perfect way to start the year with gratitude.
