Stretching Your Supplies: One Combo, Endless Possibilities

Join me on my very first cardmaking workshop as an Altenew Educator.

We’ve all been there—you fall in love with a gorgeous new stencil and embossing folder set, use it once, and then it sits in your drawer because you aren’t sure how to make it look “different” the second time around.

I’m firm believer that our craft supplies should work hard for us! That’s why I’m hosting a special upcoming workshop focused on versatility. In this class, we are taking one coordinating duo and transforming it to fit every mood, recipient, and occasion.

Coordinating stencils and embossing folders are the “power couples” of the papercrafting world. They provide instant texture and perfect alignment, but their potential goes far beyond the packaging samples.

In my upcoming workshop on February 20th at 6pm EST, we’ll be creating three distinct cards to explore these techniques:

Vibrant & Playful	Multi-color ink blending with pops of Magenta and Fresh Leaf.	Birthdays & Thinking of You

What You’ll Learn

During our time together, I’ll walk you through my process for choosing color palettes that shift the “vibe” of a floral design. We’ll discuss:

1. Texture Play: When to emboss before or after stenciling for different depths.
2. Color Theory: How a simple shift from bright pinks to moody grays changes the entire “gender” and “emotion” of the card.
3. Maximizing Value: Tips to ensure every set you buy can be used for at least five different card styles.
