I am beyond thrilled to share that I am a guest designer this month for This Calls For Confetti! It is such an honor to work with their beautiful new products, and I couldn’t wait to dive in and create something bright and cheerful for the occasion.
For today’s project, I decided to go full rainbow! I used the new Three Tier Cake Layering Stencil to build this fun birthday centerpiece. To give it a bit of contrast, I inked the cake in a “yummy chocolate” brown and topped each layer with vibrant, colorful frosting. The stenciling process is so smooth and makes creating a multi-colored cake like this a total breeze.
To finish the card, I went “all in” on the sentiments! I used the new Alice’s Story Birthday Sentiment stamp set, which is a total game-changer. It allows you to stamp a whole series of birthday greetings all at once. Even better, there is a coordinating die set that cuts every single one of those sentiments out in one pass!
I ended up with a pile of perfect sentiment strips, which I layered over the cake to add to that fun, festive look. Having all those extra strips ready to go is going to make my future birthday card projects so much faster.
I’m so happy with how this rainbow cake turned out, and I can’t wait to show you what else I’ve been working on this month!
