Welcome to challenge #606 of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. This is a biweekly challenge where we have some fun themes to play with and lots of project inspirations.
Challenge #606 is a color challenge. Tag your projects using cute little Penguins at #cupcakeinspirationschallenge on Instagram and also provide a link to your projects on the CIC blog page.
Let’s take a close look at the card that I created for this challenge.

I printed out this cute little penguin with a balloon by PJ Moore Illustrations who are the sponsors for this challenge. I thought this image would be perfect for a birthday card.
Once I printed the image, I cut the panel to 4 by 5 1/4″, which is slightly smaller than a standard A2 size cardbase. I colored the image using my Spectrum Noir Tri-Blend Markers.

I love how this little guy is floating on a piece of ice (or so what I think he is on!!).
I decided to use this fun sentiment – Floating by to say happy birthday – from the Happiest Wishes Stamp Set by Simon Says Stamp (unfortunately this product is no longer available at the SSS website). I also added a little sub-sentiment on the other side of our penguin from the same stamp set.
I added some shine and sparkle to the image using the Spectrum Noir Glitter Brush Pen and also some white highlights.

Using some foam tape, I adhered this panel onto an A2 size side folding cardbase.
