Hello, crafty friends!
I’m excited to share the card I created for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #624, where the theme is School Days. This challenge is sponsored by the amazing Kate Hadfield Designs, and it brought back so many nostalgic memories of going back to school after a long summer break!

For my project, I designed a clean and simple Back to School card using a fun mix of digital stamps from Kate Hadfield Designs. To build the focal point, I combined a few classic school elements—a stack of books, a pen, a pencil, and a notepad. These were arranged together with a cheerful sentiment that reads “Welcome Back to School.”
After printing the images and sentiment onto white cardstock, I trimmed the panel using an A2 nesting die to give it a neat framed look. I colored the images using my Ohuhu Alcohol Markers, keeping the coloring soft and minimal with just a bit of shading. To finish things off, I added white gel pen highlights to bring a little extra detail and pop to the design.
This card instantly reminded me of those exciting first days back at school—seeing friends again, new notebooks, and the fun of fresh beginnings. It was such a joy to create something that captured that happy, nostalgic vibe.

If you’re feeling inspired by the School Days theme, be sure to join the challenge! One lucky winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to the Kate Hadfield Designs shop—an amazing chance to grab some of her adorable digital goodies. Don’t forget to check out the shop for even more fun and whimsical designs.

If you’d like to see how I colored the images, the real-time coloring video is up on my YouTube channel.
