Today I’m sharing a fun, vibrant Christmas card featuring the adorable Cute Christmas Penguins digital stamp! While these little guys are undeniably penguins, I decided to take a playful detour from the traditional black-and-white palette.
I found myself inspired by classic cartoons—specifically the cheerful look of Tweety Bird—and couldn’t resist coloring them in bright, sunny yellows instead. Pairing their bold yellow bodies with a vibrant blue hat and festive red accessories gives the whole scene such a lively, whimsical charm.
To let the focal characters truly stand out, I kept the overall design clean and simple. I mounted the white panel onto a bold, coordinating blue card base and added two sweet phrases from the Christmas Greetings digital stamp set: “Santa’s on his way!” across the top and “Sending lots of Christmas cheer” grounding the bottom.
Though it’s tricky to capture under standard camera lighting, the magic really happens in the dimension. I accented their winter hats with a layer of Glossy Accents for a raised, glossy sheen, then sprinkled a touch of fine white glitter across the pom-poms and brims to catch the light. It adds just the right amount of holiday sparkle without overwhelming the clean look.
