Happy STAMPtember, crafty friends! 🌻 Today I’m sharing a warm and dimensional sunflower card featuring the beautiful Sunflower Basket die set from Simon Says Stamp. I love how this set makes it so easy to create a full floral arrangement with layered sunflowers, greenery, and a detailed woven basket.
For this card, I started by die-cutting all of my flowers and foliage from white cardstock. Since I love creating my own color palettes, I used ink blending to build up the colors. I blended Citrine and Grapefruit onto the sunflower petals, creating a beautiful yellow-to-orange gradient, and used several shades of green to add depth to the leaves. For the flower centers and basket, I added Mocha and Woodsy for some extra shading and dimension.
I also wanted the warm floral arrangement to really stand out, so I added a soft blue halo using Cadet ink behind the basket. Once everything was arranged and layered, I added thin foam squares and foam tape to give the flowers and foliage some extra dimension.
To finish the card, I added a few Opal Positively Dazzling Gems. I love how subtle they are—they almost look like tiny dew drops around the sunflower basket!
